These vintage Steelcase chairs feel like they were built to withstand an atomic blast. Steelcase has been around for over 100 years now, still manufacturing top-quality office furniture that is both commercial-grade and aesthetically-pleasing. Take this vintage Steelcase chair, manufactured in February of 1981.
It has a distinct Charles Pollock feel, though, personally, I actually like this design better than the Knoll-made Pollock chairs. The wide, low profile look and mustard yellow upholstery look cool, but the parallelogram arms are the distinct stand out, giving this chair some aerodynamic Space Age style. This vintage Steelcase chair is perfectly attractive enough to find its way out of the waiting room and into the living room.
